Pathfinder Fresh Start 

So...stuff happened and now we have to start anew.  It's ok though because we are strong and we carry on.  We always have, and we always will.  As I'm sure you've noticed some things have changed with the ranking.  First I removed all officers.  I did this because things had become stagnant and I felt like I needed to shake it up.  Now I'm adding in new officer ranks and will be thinking over who to put where.  If you are interested in becoming an officer, I recommend taking a look at the officer page to see what you might like to be and then contact me.  My hope for the future of Paths is that we become closer than before and we work well together.  I want us all to succeed and have fun together but the disconnect we've gotten into has really dampened that feeling of family we used to have.  I hope that you'll join me in my efforts to breathe new life into Paths and that we can realize the vision I have for our future.

New Beginnings

A Fresh Start 

Sometimes things happen, and we don't know why.  We just have to accept that life is that way and move on with our lives.  I'm sure you've all noticed that I haven't done anything with the website in a long time.  I've had a lot of stuff going on and just couldn't bring myself to do much of anything.  I know you all noticed I wasn't playing much anymore, and when I did I was pretty quiet.  I still am but I'm slowly getting better.  I used to love planning events for the company and maintaining the website with fun new things but it became something I no longer looked forward to.  I'm working through some things and I'm going to make an effort to breathe new life into the website and the company as a whole.  I may stumble, I might even fail, but I will try.  I ask that you be patient with me, and even lend a hand.  I never stopped loving Paths, or the miscreants who make up the company.  I just became overwhelmed by everything going on in my life and couldn't figure out how to cope.

So...here's to new beginnings, and a more wonderful, amazing Paths!

Event 36-Anniversary Edition

The Big T-W-O! 

Paths is turning TWO!  So join us for a celebration and wish us luck on another fantastic year.  

This event will take place on Saturday, January 21st at 6pm PT/8pm CT/9pm ET and will continue until the festivities die down. 

A peek into what will happen for our anniversary....Primal farming (ponies and birdies), Personal chocobo racing (if enough interest is shown), a photoshoot (stay beautiful people!), a Pathfinder party parade (hop on the Pathfinder Party bus and get your drink on!  It isn't a party until drunken lalas get launched!), and a lottery!

There is going to be lots of fun to go around, and prizes to be had.  So I hope to see you all there to congratulate us on another year of Pathfinder perfection, and wish us onto another year of greatness.

Event 35

Ho Ho Ho, Secret Santa Time! 

It's time for the holidays, and no matter how you celebrate, this is the time of year where people come together and think of others wants and needs.  In the spirit of that, we're hosting a secret santa party!  So come join us for some fun, and gift exchanging.

This event will take place at Path Home (Lavender Beds Ward 9, Plot 6) on Saturday, December 17th @6:30pm PT/8:30pm CT/9:30pm ET. If you are unable to make it to the actual party, please make sure you give your giftee their gift beforehand.  I would hate for anyone to feel left out.  The party will end when everyone decides they've had enough merriment.

For any of our non Pathfinder friends, if you wish to join us at the party go right ahead!  We love to host you all, and we'll have even more fun with you there!

Greystar Anniversary!

Party Time! 

The Greystar ladies have had a great first year together and they invite you all to come celebrate their love and devotion.  There will be food, and fun for everyone!  So come to Path Home ready to party your pants off (literally since that is how a pathfinder party goes), but bring your gear because we'll also be heading into dungeons for more party fun.

This event will take place on Friday, October 14th @ 5pm PT/7pm CT/8pm ET and will continue until festivities have concluded.  Keep in mind that static Friday will happen during the party (starting at 6PM PT/8pm CT/9pm ET) and we hope that we can get groups together to go into dungeons/primals/whatever anyone wants to do, just to have fun and get content finished.

We hope to see you there and that you are just as happy and excited for our first anniversary.

RP Event: Reconstruction

Reconstruction: A Dragonsong War Epilogue

Server Malboro, Saturday, September 17, 6 p.m. eastern 

This role playing event is hosted by the free company Pathfinders, of server Malboro.  Read on for details!

The Dragonsong War may be over, but as the poem says, there's miles to go before we sleep.

Ishgard is hiring freelance craftsmen to bring materials to their villages and outposts, along with free company mercenaries to tend with the beasts and monsters still roaming free.  Free company Pathfinders has won the bid to organize the first part of this reconstruction effort.  As such, the Pathfinders are reaching out to their fellow companies and freelancers to lend a hand!

This event will be broken into multiple pieces happening at the same time, all of them intended to be in-character and role play oriented, including: 

An adventure through Dusk Vigil:  Whether Ishgard will reclaim this fortress for use or not is still undecided, but it's clear that the place needs to be cleansed of the dangers lurking within.

Scouting the Countryside:  Nidhogg may be slain, but his broken brood still roams, aimless and angry.  This will include cross-country hikes through a few of the zones, participating in FATEs or Temple Leves.  If the FATE "Torasque Force" spawns during this event, we will try to engage this as a major part of the event. 

Reconstruction:  Ishgard's military and resources have been stretched thin in recent months, and their villages and outposts are in desperate need of supplies, tools, and construction materials.  This group will be gathering and crafting simple items that will be bought at market value, simulating the idea of bringing supplies to Ishgard's outposts.

If time permits, we will wrap-up the event with a trip to the Pathfinders bar and dance hall in the Lavender Beds!

Each section of the event will be overseen by an officer of the Pathfinders acting as a "GM" for the event, to help keep things smooth an on-track.

If you'd like to participate, it's as easy as showing up for the event!  You can comment on this post, or whisper Ginal Everheart ahead of time as well, to help give us an idea of how many groups we may or may not need to adjust for.

A Nice Day for a Roe wedding 

Wedding bells are ringing again, and this time it's for Syngirael!  So grab an invite and join in her happiness!  

This wedding will take place on Wednesday, August 24th at 6pm PT/8pm CT/9pm ET. Syngirael, and her Eyrihanth will welcome people to the Path Home (Lavender Beds Ward 9, Plot 6) after the nuptials for well wishes and any partying that might occur.
