Who Are the Pathfinders?
For some, it's just a game.
For the Pathfinders, Eorzea is a second home, a place to seek adventure, create grand stories, and find lasting friendship.

The philosophy of the Pathfinders is that, no matter what kind of player you are; Casual, money-making crafter, dedicated endgamer, or lore-hungry role player, there's no reason you can't find friends and have fun with people who play like you and people who don't
Our home is open to any kind of player, and we do all we can to include everyone in everything. We also like to get everyone together for player-managed events, such as beach parties, role playing in our bar and costume contests.
Preferred Conduct
While we want everyone in our free company to have fun and be themselves, we also understand that sometimes, people can clash with each other for one reason or another. With that in mind, we want to present a preferred conduct that we want all members of the company to be aware of and try to adhere to. This isn't intended to try to limit anyone's fun, but to be a formal reminder of how everyone in Paths can respect each other and get along.
****If you are having an issue with the way something is being done, or how someone is behaving please let an officer know. We can't fix it if we don't know it is occurring.****
**Please note that this is not a perfect code of conduct. It will be revised as needed over time**

*Everyone has their own sense of humor, and that's okay! Just be mindful of when it's time to let a joke end before you take it too far.
*No judgment! Not everyone is as good at dungeons, or certain classes, or role playing, or whatever, as you might be. If you honestly want to help someone get better at something, then choose your words carefully and make sure you don't come across as trying to make someone else feel inferior.
*It's okay to ask for help, but remember to help others when they need it, too. This is a multi-player environment after all, and we're all in this together.
*Take only what you give. Paying someone back is good, paying it forward is even better.

*No cyber sex or erotic role playing in any public channel. This is already part of the FF14 terms of service, but it's worth a reminder. If you ever find a fellow Company mate engaged in this behavior in a public channel, we ask you to report it to a Company officer so that we can take care of it before any GMs are involved.
*Try to keep the super raunchy stuff with a crowd you know wont be offended. Know your audience.

*Everyone has bad days for one reason or another, and that's okay. Just remember that repeatedly bad attitudes or behavior will result in suspension of privileges or even expulsion.
*There will be NO calling out of anyone in the general FC chat line. If you have a beef with someone either take it to whispers/party chat or take it to an officer (anyone with master rank) for mediation.

*For some of us, being online is sometimes the most socializing we do. Be prepared to think of your company mates as your real friends, and remember that behind that funny character name is a real person. Don't be "online friends." Be friends.
*Please do not spam the FC chat. It makes it hard for people to read things, and for some it just plain hurts our eyes.
*Involve yourself, and involve others. The point of a MMO game is to enjoy the game with other people. Consider sometimes putting your own goals on hold for a day or two to join is someone else's activities, or specifically invite someone to dungeon party that you don't normally run with. Decorating your house/room? Invite someone over to offer opinions on arrangement. Writing up new macros? Ask someone to help you test them. Anything in this game can be a social experience, so get out there and SOCIALIZE!
*If you will be gone for a long time please let Ely know beforehand/as soon as you can after you leave. She does a cleaning of the roster, and if you've been gone for 30 days without notice you will be booted from the company, unless you have let her know what's going on. You have many ways of contacting her so please utilize them.
****Please note that if you leave under bad circumstances you will NOT be allowed back into the company, no matter how much you might regret it. You will relinquish all rights to our company assistance, and will NOT be welcomed to our events. If you are respectful when you leave you will be welcomed back with open arms.****
**Biggest rule of all....HAVE FUN!!**
