Scheduled Event 30

All Hallows Weekend! 

It's that time of year that the spooks come out to play, and the kiddos gorge themselves on sweets!  So in the spirit of things I thought The Pathfinders would enjoy a bit of a treat as well.

This will be a three part event: There will be prizes!

Friday, October 30th starting at 6pm PT/8pm CT/9pm ET: All Hallows Eve Party 

 This party will take place at "The Solid Ground" (our upstairs bar), you can RP if you want to.  There will also be a Costume contest, So come up with a great idea and show it off.  Doesn't have to be scary just use your imagination!  We'll end the evening with Bedroom Hide and Seek, So decorate your rooms up nice, and we'll have a nice lighthearted game of hide and seek in the Path Home.

Saturday, October 31st all day: Tricks and Treats 

Throughout the day we'll party up and , while dressed in our costumes, hand out sweets to anyone who stops to watch our dancing.  So anyone who stops to talk, dance, or just stare at us will get a holiday surprise!  Ely and Lena will be providing said treats.  So put on your smiles, and your dancey pants, and lets have fun!

Sunday, November 1st: Photoshoot...Reborn? 

This is just a redo of our previous photoshoot that I slept through.  I was ill then but I am not now so we shouldn't have a repeat of that.  This will take place throughout the day so we can get as many people as possible into our photos.  I'd like to get a nice big photo of everyone possible so lets try to all be on at 5pm PT/7pm CT/8pm ET.     

I hope you will all decide to participate, and that you find this fun.

Noobie Appreciation:

This didn't go quite as I had hoped.  Participation was a little low and the response was even worse.  However, I do want to try this again in the future.  Next time we try this event, let's all get out there and show Eorzea how welcoming the Pathfinders can be!

Pending Event: Class of 2015

Among the many things coming in patch 3.1 (Seriously, it's going to be huge) is that the old level 50 Realm Reborn dungeons will now yield experience points.  This is the perfect time to not only revisit the old stomping ground, but to do it creatively! 

What we'll be doing is running these dungeons with our classes instead of our jobs.  Why?  Because Final Fantasy 14 is the only game in the series that uses classes, alongside the specialized jobs that are iconic to the series.  Classes are more versatile, allowing for much more variety of cross-class skill than jobs.  And since level 50 is where you stop gaining cross-class slots, it's the perfect level to sync to and show how classy we can be.

I'm telling you about this now so that you can start looking over your hotbars ahead of time and figure out what you want to do.  This event will happen within the first or second week of patch 3.1 going live, so we have two or three weeks to get ready!

The Bar

People are beginning to respond to the advertisements for our role playing hangout, the restraunt/bar we call the Solid Ground.  Since there are some stretches where I can't be online to host and monitor this, I need to ask that anyone, officer or not, who has even a small interest in role playing to please help me by setting aside small bits of your time to check on things in the bar.  If we have guests, try to play host for a bit.  

If you feel like you need a hand with role playing etiquette, creating a character, or anything else, don't forget to whisper me in the game or send me an email.  

A Moment of Your Time...

I wanted to take a moment to address something with all of you.  Holiday season is right around the corner, and that means trips, parties, and a ton of new high profile games.  I understand that many of us will be gone for extended periods over the next two or three months for various reasons, so Ely and I would like to ask all of you to do a few things for us...

1: Let us know ahead of time if you know you're going to be gone.

2: If you're still have gaming time available, please try to log in once a week.

3: If you just really want to take a break from FFXIV for a while, then please keep in touch with us through emails or Hangouts.

We ask this for a few reasons, but the two primary ones are so that we don't end up kicking you for inactivity, AND, because more than anything, we want to continue to play alongside and keep up with you, our friends.  When any of you go silent for periods longer than a few days, we do worry, because we care about all of you.  

Have a wonderful end of the year, enjoy your vacations and new games, and BE SAFE!  Ely and I expect to see each and every one of you whole and hale by the end of the holidays!

Event 29: Newbie Appreciation

New adventurers continue to arrive on Eorzea's shores daily, and what better way to welcome them than by meeting them with open arms, and open ears!

We will scouring the capital cities and lowbie zones looking for any player character with the green leaf symbol over their heads.  We will offer these new players information and advice, cheap meals and potions to give them that initial edge, and pets to keep them company on their travels.  Along the way, we might even pick up a few new recruits to join us, so come with your best big brother/big sister attitude!

This will take place all day Friday the 23rd, until the end of Sunday the 25th!

Scheduled Event 28

Greystar Wedding 2.0 

After being abandoned by her husband, Elysande Greystar found love again.  Now she is inviting you to witness her bonding with the Lady Love of her life, Lena Rhea.

  

This Event will take place on Saturday, October 17th at 6pm PT/8pm CT/9pm ET.  The festivities will start at the church.  After the wedding there will be a reception at the Path Home (Goblet, Ward 3, Plot 12) followed by Fireworks on the beach.  So remember to bring your swimwear and sunscreen!  We plan to party the night away and hope you'll join us for this joyous occasion!

This is to be a classy wedding.  Please keep it that way!  Please be advised that this is a serious roleplay event, be ready to be in character and play along with us.

You can go nuts at the after party (that is what they are for anyway!)

Scheduled event 27

Photo Shoot! 

Let's all put on our best duds and get some new pictures taken for the website.  I know how much you all like to show off and this is the best way to do so!  We'll meet up to get our pictures taken at several different locations, and there will be wardrobe changes!!  While out and about we will also participate in fates, and hunts so don't forget your gear!

This event will take place on Sunday, October 4th at 5pm PT/7pm CT/8pm ET and will continue until we feel we've gotten the best pictures possible. 

So while you're out and about in Eorzea, take a look around and see where it looks most scenic.  Write down the <pos> and we'll snaps some photos there!

Ultima Party 

We're getting together a group of people to go in and kick Ultima's ass!  So lets all log on ready to go fight the good fight.  If anyone has any questions you should direct them to Luna Eternal.  

The event will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 4pm PT/6pm CT/7pm ET and will continue until everyone who wants to defeat him has.
